This month, let’s review hepatitis B vaccination of adults, including vaccination guidance for high-risk groups. Children greater than 1 year of age, and adults, can be vaccinated to protect them for a lifetime against a hepatitis B infection. The vaccine is given at 0, 1 and 6 months. The third dose is needed for complete, long-term protection.
